    National primary sounds good to me. It might thin the herd in advance, and it would limit the disproportionate importance held by a tiny number of states.

    I don't think it's a very effective descriptor. (Please keep in mind that your humble correspondent prefers immigration policy that's damn-near "open borders.") It certainly doesn't account for those many, many "scary brown folks" (the words of you and others, not me) who would prefer: A) a much tighter immigration policy that is; 2) enforced rigorously. Further, it's a convenient dodge ... those who avail themselves of it aren't really taking a stand.
