I don't know why people keep harping on that. Iowa's in the top 10 for "birthplace of astronauts," "birthplace of Olympic gold medalists," "birthplace of MLB players," and "Google searches for 'Bin Laden dead.'" Its rank on other important metrics leads to a composite score that's Numero Uno tops according to this scientific (!!!) study:

I have read that the US metropolitan area that is the closest match to the US average in all demographic categories, age distribution, income distribution, racial and ethnic population distribution, you name it, is New Haven, Conn. Maybe it should get the first primary. That way, instead of reporters doing diner stories, they could interview folks at Frank Pepe's.

 

So now Hannity has moved all the way down to Cancun? Cool.

 

More than balanced out by the white suburbs of Greenwich and New Canaan.

 

Again: Iowa does a good job of staging this event. And it's a good starter kit state for candidates; you can't distill Iowa into "winning one city" or one politician. The same for New Hampshire.

I finally watched this and I'm torn between laughing at her and being concerned that far too many people are just as stupid as that woman.

 

My wife would kill for that house, in that setting.
