I'm trying to decide which I'd most like to ease out of public view -- Alina Habba or Marjorie Taylor-Greene.

MTG. Habba is going to sink under the weight of her own incompetence. In fact, when Trump gets convicted, it was only because he had incompetent counsel.

 

As well as refusing to listen to his lawyers.

 

Totally agree on Roy. As far as the deal, I'll believe it when I see it. The majority of trumplicans don't want a deal.

Of course, if the deal gets passed, they'll be another new speaker. The Khaos Klan will throw Maga Mike overboard fast.

Thing is that if Johnson showed some spine and broke the Crazy Caucus by actually moving some desperately needed bills, it would make the R's look good, defang the crazies, and he'd get credit for his bipartisan leadership. The margin is very narrow, all he'd need is a few votes from contested districts where it benefit an R's election chances to do it. Do that two or three times and make the point. Bury them.
