He's headed to the deep south for the heat and humidity, an ol' carpet bagger with a shining face.

If you'd heard (read) this one here before, pass on, but you can't stop me. In 1988, the Pats played the Glanville-coached Oilers in an exhibition game in Memphis (fine place, don't go in August). Glanville announced he'd left two tickets for Elvis at the will call window. Saturday night game, I figure the ideal pregame sidebar is to go down to will call and see what human flotsam shows up to claim the tickets. To my immense chagrin and the everlasting shame of the city of Memphis, nobody did. I think I used my week's notes to do a sidebar on a Pats' rookie punter or something.

He had a similar role on Fuente's staff at Virginia Tech. I think at this point Kill still wants to be involved in football but with his health issues, the pressure of running a program is probably too much for him.

In almost-certainly related news, Vandy got NMSU’s starting quarterback from the portal. And yes, the Commodores play Auburn this fall.

All DeBoer is getting from the Alabama gig is the unis and the high expectations - the players? They gone.
