Friday's home game vs. Mavericks canceled as well.

    I can't even imagine.

Something like that, completely out of the blue -- the toll it takes on close family members is beyond devastating. It's like a nuclear bomb goes off in your life and you don't know what to do.

Seems ghoulish discussing basketball, but an interesting move by the Pacers to trade for Siakam. I’m not sure it gets them into the top 4 in the conference, but he’s a talent upgrade. I also think that Bruce Brown could be a piece for a good team, especially given that he’s on basically an expiring contract.

I'm happy to see it. A little worried the Pacers overpaid, but I'm glad to see them trying to win now rather than wait for Mathurin or Walker to develop. Should be fun to see Siakam and Haliburton together.

Jason Tatum's clunker at the end of the C's loss to the Nuggets serves as yet another reminder that he's the most overrated player in the Association. Come at me.

I don't know that I would call him the most overrated, but I will say this: in a pressure situation, he is absolutely the last "star" player I want with the ball in his hands.

He goes out of his way to take the hardest shot possible, every goddamn time. On that last possession everyone watching knew exactly what was coming -- inbound to Tatum so he can take a circus shot, spinning and jumping away from the basket. It's his go-to. I think this one may have grazed the backboard, but that's it.

He reminds me of a kid with a Nerf hoop in his room, pretending he's taking a buzzer beater while twisting and diving onto his bed.

That's a brilliant description...Nerf guy actually took, what, two of those shots in the final 20 seconds? SMH

With two seconds on the shot clock hitting the bottom of the backboard...Barkley says some guys want to win, some guys want to be the reason that you win. Until he stops pounding the ball and taking contested iso shots in crunch time he'll remain in the latter camp.

Remember when Young LeBron would be criticized on every talking head show when he passed to a wide open teammate for the last shot?
