That is correct. Oddly, Robinson also tied for the second-most home runs by a triple crown winner, with 49.

    Ty Cobb for home runs?

Correct. Ty Cobb led the majors with nine home runs when he won the triple crown in 1909.

Paul Hines of the Providence Grays hit four when he won it in 1878, but I specified since 1900 so the honor goes to Cobb.
Hines also had 50 RBIs which is the lowest of any TC winner. But, again, 1900, so we're still looking for the low man on the RBI totem pole.

Since that turned out to be the case, it was not only a trick question but anal, as well.
But we were instructed to think harder.

If trivia was easy, it would not be trivia.

Well, if you get some of thrill out of it, more power to you.

Since @Liut said anal, and the hint follows that line of thinking, I'll go ahead and pay off the last triple crown answer.
The TC winner with the lowest RBI total is Cubs' third baseman Heinie Zimmerman. He had 104 RBIs (along with 14 home runs and a .372 average) when he won it in 1912.

Not sure why you're getting so pissed off. Wrigley Field in Los Angeles was an MLB venue for an entire season, not some one-off like the Field of Dreams games. "Trick" question? No, one that made one think.

But it's hard in this instance because you did not indicate which Wrigley Field. Leaving out information doesn't make good trivia.
