It was 45º outside today (ending an 88-hour stretch below freezing) and it felt cold as ever because the south wind was gusting to 40.

All my joints and muscles ache. I'm not sick, nor do I feel bad at all. I think it's just because I've been cold and shivering for the last six days.
    Holy cow.

Mine hurt because I'm old, mostly. Shiver diet sucks, but think of all the calories you're burning.

Once I make it to Monday I'm golden, but the next two days we're back in the twenties. Me no likey.

The only connection to the weather this story has is because my wife and I were inside most of the day consolidating and tossing old items out of the attic.
I'm sharing it here so people will see it. It's funny 'cause it's true.
Wife: "All of your childhood photos are of you with fish, dogs, and cows. All mine are of me playing basketball, tennis, and softball."

Oh, and we later had a conversation about how during school fund raisers she always subscribed to Sports Illustrated, and I subscribed to Outdoor Life.

I can do cold, but it's the humidity that gets me. I've been out running in the mornings, temps 25 - 30.

My daughter had school today. Thanks to teacher in-service, the weekend and snow, she had been home seven days. It’s the weekend and we are getting ice on Monday morning, so she will wind up being in class one day out of 11.

(And thanks to the Governor, remote instruction is no longer allowed for public schools. So the school year may be extended.)
