Mayfield: 681 yards, 6 and 1 in two playoff games this year. And that’s why they’re the Browns.

Lions STILL run a lot of low potential plays in situations they might be better with 4 yard running plays -- screen passes that you complete the pass and still get blown up for a loss.

Gotta make it to the fourth team to reach that potential.

“What would you do with the money?”

“I’d like to buy a bunch of hookers and blow, and with the rest of it, try to find my long-lost father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate.”

“Well, so we have a surprise for you. Right here on this island, we’ll tell you … right after this break.

Really? no credit to an excellent play by the defender there? Mayfield’s a top 10 quarterback in the league now.

Barnes forgot to run around for 15 seconds.

I have to admit Jared Goff has proven me wrong. I thought he was done after Super Bowl LIII loss. He looked so overmatched and you could tell that McVay was no longer invested in him. But he toughed out some rough years, watched his replacement win a Super Bowl and eventually found a coach that helped him get his confidence back.

He was tremendous in the second half. Lions stars showed up down the stretch. St. Brown and Gibbs took over the game.
