Would have been illegal contact and a first down anyway, right?

You have to be Jerry Jones to fire a coach that won you a Super Bowl, much less got you to the divisional round. Jones later admitted that was a mistake.

Bucs got to the NFC Championship Game in 1999 and Dungy got fired after going one-and-done the next two years. This is now three straight divisional round exits after the trip to the AFC Championship Game for the Bills. I don't think Belichick is the answer, but I'm not sure McDermott is either.

Josh Allen has had enough chances. Time to bring Bruce Mathison in from the bullpen!

Jerry's favorite saying is "Don't let your money get mad." In the case of Jimmy, it did.

Here's the other thing to realize. Pat Mahomes isn't going away. Joe Burrow will be healthy again and the Bengals have already proven they willl kick Buffalo's ass too. Lamar Jackson isn't going away and Harbaugh is coaching like he wants some more rings on his fingers. The good news is the Bills probably have at least another 2-3 years in the AFC East, but this is home playoff losses in back-to-back seasons against teams that you have to go through to win and those teams are just starting to hit their prime.

So it's already ridiculously hard in the AFC and I think it's a legitimate question if McDermott that can navigate those waters, especially if a team like Houston gets better with age. Jimmy Johnson won two Super Bowls, McDermott doesn't have anything close to that.

No, it was within five yards of the LOS.

Is it on McDermott when he loses what 3 starters on D? I am sorely disappointed in their D, they were missing tackles and IMHO it was way too much “read and react” instead of penetration into the backfield, especially on 1st down of last possession.

    Like a Rams-Pats in 2001 (played in 2002).

Winning the AFC is ridiculously hard, the quarterbacks are so good, the ones you mentioned plus Tua and Herbert. Two teams have won seven of the last nine AFC titles, it's tough to break through.

Pretty sure Mike Tomlin’s agent will be reading this verbatim in his contract extension negotiations…
