My favorite stat from last night was that the Chiefs had more running plays than passes 24-23. Kansas City was by far the most efficient team last night. It was a real downer that the game was decided on a missed field goal, but had Bass made it and it had gone to OT, KC would still have won, something I firmly believed before the kick, and I have a witness, my wife.

When I was growing up, games were regularly decided on missed field goals.

That one handed catch by Valdes-Scantling was pretty sweet.

Pacheco ran well. Mahomes was on. Bills had no answer for Kelce.

Saw the Chiefs go up 20-17 and fell asleep.

For the last 5 years it's been like, Josh Allen's gonna win a Super Bowl with the Bills.

But here we are again with the Chiefs knocking on the door of another title.

Josh Allen and the Bills are Philip Rivers and the Chargers of the East.

Well, y'know, that's something that has subtly changed over the past decade or so. Eleven regular NFL kickers this season have field-goal percentages of 90% or better. Twelve if you count Michael Badgley going 4-for-4 at the end of the regular season.

At 82.8 percent, Tyler Bass was definitely on the low end.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they beat the Ravens in Baltimore. Yes, the Ravens look great. Yes, they obliterated some very good teams like the 49ers and Lions. It is possible they will do that to the Chiefs, Kansas City also has a damn good defense. If they keep it close. I trust Mahomes a hell of a lot more than Jackson.

Three big injuries for the Chefs coming out of that game -- Mike Edwards (concussion), Willie Gay (neck) and All-Pro guard Joe Thuney (pectoral). Thuney's having an MRI today. Gay was the guy spying Josh Allen until he left with the injury.

Ouch. You've got to figure Gay would have been the spy on Jackson, too, and the last thing they need against the Ravens is a disruption on the offensive line.

You're just not a wartime consigliere, Sean.
