That’s the thing about Sandwiches and Haley — no matter what they say now, they are tainted by working for Trump. Meatball Ron definitely sucked up to him, but he didn’t try to attack Trump at all until it was too late. Plus no one liked him.

A long as Stinky loses in November and goes away forever, the taint will wash off eventually.

If he doesn't lose, there's a fair chance some of them will eventually die in prison if they don't eat a cyanide capsule first.

So you’re saying they didn’t want to risk the Wrath of Khan?

I know. But maybe, instead, Christie could rip into Trump all spring and summer until his head explodes and he scares off more voters.

Christie is good at that. And his political future appears dead, so why not play the spoiler instead? He's probably on Trump's kill list anyway.

Wishful thinking, yeah, but Trump's loud mouth is his worst enemy. I hope it ruins him now, as with Andy Griffith in "Face in the Crowd."

Who’s going to pay Christie to do that?

He won’t do that out of the goodness of his heart.

I know. But it sure would be fun to watch.

Sure would. Perhaps the Biden campaign brings him on the payroll. Stranger things have happened.

Michael Steele and Nicolle Wallace — basically the equivalents of Sean Spicer and Kellyanne Conway of the Bush days — are now MSNBC stalwarts. So never say never on Christie.
