This matches the smallest televised card (four matches) in RR history. Expecting some long matches and dramatics tonight.

Interesting that they're actually referring to Triple H on air as Paul Levesque for I think the first time. Probably trying to solidify himself as the public face of the company, especially in light of recent news.

And we're opening with the women's Rumble (and they've already spoiled that Roxanne Perez is competing), so my guess is Logan/KO, men's Rumble and the 4-way will follow.

WWE releases one "football" guy in Kevin Patrick, brings back another football guy in Pat McAfee. It is nice to have him on the mic -- and I wouldn't be surprised if he's a surprise entrant tonight.

Well, they didn't beat around the bush for the first "surprise" -- however obvious as it is.

Wow. Cole actually mentions that Naomi won the TNA Knockouts championship while she was gone.

Far cry from when he was forced to say Sasha and Naomi were sore sports for walking out.

Holy shit! They got the CURRENT TNA women's champ?!? Alliance confirmed!

Mickie James last year is different because she came in already as a likely WWE Hall of Famer -- and it was a peace offering for the Great Trashbag Incident. This is about as close as WWE has ever gotten to the Forbidden Door.

Makes sense, though. The two Rumble matches are each an hour and a change, and so many people are involved in them that there aren't many bodies left for anything meaningful.
Didn't realize it was only four matches, though. Thought they'd booked one or two others as filler.

Showing the running clocks of the top three Rumble times -- GREAT thought.

Chelsea being treated like a bonafide tackling dummy is great.

I’ll take the assist on that. The Cagesider gets the goal.

Jordynne Grace with the big shock entrance of the women's Rumble. I like how they didn't just rely on filling slots with the "legends," with respect to Michelle McCool and the like.

The right choice. Bayley deserved this moment. The last of the Horsewomen to get a big Mania moment, and she was over huge in Tampa.
