That's basically the only time the Falcons had reason to believe they were good enough to win a title...I know they had a magical '98, but I think the Broncos win Elway's finale fairly easily even if Eugene Robinson doesn't get a boner the night before the Super Bowl. I still think the Browns are the most maligned franchise of all-time and that's regardless of what the Lions do here. At least the Lions have mostly stunk for 60-odd years. The ineptitude this century just magnifies the agony of the '80s.

As poorly as the Lions tackle in space, one of these might go for a quick one.

That clock has to be crawling if you're sitting in Ford Field.

I know Campbell likes to go for it in fourth down, and Goff hit Reynolds in the hands, but I would have tried the field goal there. If it’s made, then you’ve maintained your three-score lead and half of the third quarter is gone.

Lamar Jackson’s catch is now the second-best catch of the day.

FG is a three score lead. I think you always take the points option if it forces the opposition to need another possession.

And now it's a one score game.

OK, if I'm a Lions fan I am absolutely certain of the shitstorm to come.

Yeah, that’s what I meant. They were up three scores at halftime, then if they match field goals, then they’d have held serve with half the third quarter gone. Instead, it’s a one-score game.
