Meanwhile on the International front....

The USN destroyers have spent 2024 giving a live-fire demonstration on how capable they are. The Burke class is proving to be basically the best surface combatant we've ever made.

 

That story said they've shot down 87 drones and missiles so far.
All it takes is one to slip through, of course, but going 87-0 is indeed a good demonstration of prowess. Compare that to the Russians, who are having capital ships sunk on the open sea by a country without a navy, and it's even more impressive.

 

I and countless others likely owe our lives to that machine. Watching it fire is both terrifying and incredibly satisfying.
