Yeah, the fan thing is big.

Last season my oldest and his buddy wanted to see Jokic in person, so they shelled out a lot of money to get really good seats for Nuggets-Suns. The Nuggets sat Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

FWIW, Kawhi Leonard has played 43/47 games this season (on a pace for 74). It seemed the league had him in mind when they crafted the new rules, especially with defining a "star player" as one who has been an All-Star/All-NBA in any of the previous three seasons.

    '18-'19 - 60 games
    '19-'20 - 57 games
    '20-'21 - 52 games
    '21-'22 - 52 games
    '22-'23 - 0 games (ACL)

I don't know when it started or why - but I fully approve of NBA coaches opting for more teamwear (pullovers or whatever) on the sidelines and looking more like coaches than the investment banker looks sported by P5 coaches in college.

You can't get more investment banker or PE bro than a fleet of guys in matching quarter zip pullovers.

They absolutely look like they’re running practice drills. Y’all can afford it — go buy some suits.

Sorry, but wear a suit or at least a blazer like a big boy. You aren’t part of the pregame warmups

On no level is using the Knicks as leverage being a "front runner." Knicks are now decent after being garbage for decades. He has a better shot at a title in Los Angeles.
