    This is one of those things where it reflects badly on everyone involved, no matter what side they're on.

    The British monarchy does best when it's quiet and practically unnoticed. There's not a super-big Republican movement in the UK but there's not a lot of full-throated support for the royal family either. It's a situation where a government could get rid of it and everybody will just shrug their shoulders.

    I actually watched a bit of the Netflix series - it was way too self-indulgent of course, but they did show that a lot of the internet trolling was originated through a group hoping to generate ill will against them to recruit white supremists.

    I don't often feel sympathy for someone like Prince Charles, but the guy waited for freakin' ever to take the throne and he promptly gets diagnosed with cancer. Poor bastard.
