Wasn’t the object of bullrope matches was to drag your opponent around the ring and touch all four corners? And to whip your opponent like crazy and crack them a few times with the bell?

    Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Now that that's done, can we finally end this Cody/Nakamura feud?

What if they go Corporate Rock with this and make Rock a heel and set up a triple threat with Reigns-Rock-Rhodes? They could play into Rock pushing his way into the main event over Cody and not giving Cody a choice, and then Cody could say there's a loophole that the Rock hadn't thought about. Cody still gets to pick the champion he faces, but it doesn't say he can't pick someone who already has a challenger.

I will never believe that was the original plan, but this could be a decent way to salvage things somewhat, and you get Drew-Rollins on Night 1.

They could do that, but Cody still should pin Roman. Otherwise, they’ll be having Roman say that he’s never been pinned for the title loss forever.

So had they set it up a month ago or not?

The Rock came out and made mention of Roman on Jan 1st.

    Then Cody won the Rumble.

Those 2 things would seem to be in direct contradiction, but one would assume they knew this and have a plan.

What’s clear is SRS and Meltzer have no idea and nothing to add. The SI guy reported (correctly?) that Cody wasnt finishing the story before the Rumble….. then retracted it saying he’d been duped by WWE disinformation. But now it looks like he was right? The dirts dont know anymore than we do

I saw one tweeter/Xer ask Meltzer an important question. What if Punk didn’t get hurt? The plan was for Punk to face Rollins. And if it’s Punk/Rollins and Rock was going to face Reigns, what was the plan for Cody? Plus, Rollins’ health is questionable.

It sounds like a real mess that could have been resolved fairly easily. Have Cody challenge Reigns. Have Jey beat Jimmy, which takes him out of the main event interference. Have Rock be the “special enforcer” and take out Solo. With nobody left to help, Reigns drops the belts to Cody. Rock can take on Reigns at Summerslam for the head of the table.

With Punk/Rollins/Drew/Sami, have whoever’s left healthy get the belt.

Might now be NXT's most hated heel since classic Ciampa.

Tony Khan has been promising a big announcement tonight, and TD Garden announced on Facebook that it's hosting a Dynamite next month. That means only one thing: AEW is about to sign Boston's greatest native wrestling free agent.

John Cena Sr. is going to finish his story with Adam Copeland.

Just another quiet day in wrestling.

TNA suddenly fires the figure head that made it relevant again, and the whole WWE/Vince mess gets fouler and fouler.
