It was unanimous, which means the most likely answer is they were trying to make their opinion SCOTUS-proof.

 

The same reason that they don't see inflation would have happened under Trump 2.0.....or that he'd be ill-equipped to do anything about it.

WASHINGTON — Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has requested Secret Service protection after saying she's received increased threats as she competes with former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination, according to reports.

There was no other choice. If they’d somehow ruled the other way, this whole American experiment was over.

Now we’ll see how long the SCOTUS step takes. I’ve seen a few folks saying the high court might not take it up and let the ruling stand. I don’t think I believe that. And I’ve got a great concern a way to slow-walk it into next year will happen.

 

At most, they would slow-walk it until June.

 

You'd think a case involving a former president running again would be resolved far more quickly - especially this one, if it's as outrageous as the MAGAs (and Trump's lawyers) argued.

 

Did the appeals court undo the stay? If they do, pre-trial can proceed.

 

Trump has six days to file with SCOTUS or the case goes back on the docket.
