I realize Hamlin "came back" but I was surprised how little he saw the field for Buffalo this year Flacco had more impact, clearly.

Yes but Flacco DIDN'T DIE ON THE FIELD. Hamlin playing a single snap should have locked that up. It's classically NFL that it didn't.

I read that. Really well-done article and really sad. As one of the lawyers said, Art is beyond rehabilitation at this point. But they can't even let him out as a mercy thing b/c he's not just gonna do a whole bunch of blow and only hurt himself. He'll keep finding people from whom to steal.

Hamlin is a great story - but his limited playing time - one total tackle, two passes defended - hardly seems worthy. Giving him the award would be like letting some injured player score an uncontested basket to set a record. Dude made it back. Flacco's career was as dead as Hamlin was on that field - not a hater. I was disappointed Hamlin didn't play more this year.

Pro Bowl Games audience drops by 8.5 percent versus 2023

Yeah - my guess is that they will have to do something "else" sooner rather than later. Put the pads back on and make it the one football game we let the players bet on. Team totals, player totals, who tanks, - that would be a fun watch.

Agreed. Normally, it should be Flacco, but not after what happened to Hamlin.

Of course, they screwed up Defensive Player of the Year again, too. Watt was better than Garrett. It wasn't close. He also made about as much impact in his team's playoff game as Garrett and Watt didn't even play.

It sure seems like they were just following the lead of Pro Football Focus, which is obsessed with Garrett.

I guess you were impressed by one sack in the final seven games and a disappearing act in the playoffs.

Didn't realize the postseason played into these awards.
