I would have run the ball on 3rd down in OT. I think that it was the right move to kick the FG at the time.

I’m still curious why Shanahan took the ball in ot.

We likely don't go to OT if the PAT is made.

There are plenty of ways to do it. If the game is tied after each first possession do it then. If the clock is being used, make it a factor.

Yes, elements can be a factor.

I'm not. They ran it down the field until they got close. As mentioned, probably should have gone for it. What's the difference of kicking a field goal vs. not scoring a touchdown if Mahomes is getting the ball?

Upset of the night: Larry Csonka looks younger than John Elway.

It's probably more for the stats people of "It's the longest Super Bowl of all time."

Why did he widely abandon the running game in the second half when it was working enough and they were ahead? Why didn't he play defense in OT? Guess you could debate the going for the field goal/TD. I see both.

Mahomes just said on ESPN that the Niners taking the ball first was to their advantage.

College teams always play D first so they know what they need to get on offense. Same thing. Might have put less pressure on the D at least.
