The Clippers riding the Lakers' coattails again. With Ed O'Neil as Donald Sterling and Laurence Fishburne as Doc Rivers.

I know Jamie Foxx had some health issues, but they should've broken the bank to get him because he has a killer Doc impression.

Probably won't be as fun as a watch as Winning Time was, but I'll give it a shot.

The only way ever to see the Clippers in June.

What happens first, Lions win the Super Bowl or Clippers win the NBA title?

    Lions.

The Clippers and the Chargers are the same -- franchises that moved from San Diego to Los Angeles, were they were not wanted and will never be embraced who can never win a title, no matter how good the roster or regular season goes.

Not as fantastical as Winning Time, but it's intriguing at least.

Winning Time annoyed me tremendously but losing that only to get a Clippers story...ugh. Though I suppose Magic will be making an appearance in this one too...

Also interested in seeing the inspirational hoops scenes that end with a second-round choke.

Ed Bundy as Donald Sterling seems on the nose.

Watched the first episode of Clipped. I don't know if they were trying to get the Winning Time vibe, but it didn't work.

It doesn't have the same irreverence and the casting sucked. I suppose the casting of Sterling and Stiviano was fine, but that's where it stopped.

Laurence Fishburne is a great actor, but he had no business playing Doc Rivers. He's built like a linebacker, not a guard. And the guys playing Chris Paul and Blake Griffin look NOTHING like their subjects.

At least Winning Time took better attempts at casting, even if they had to rely more on makeup. Hell, they even got Norm Nixon's own son to play him.

Given Sterling’s interview with Anderson Cooper and the audio they had of him we could call this one Whining Time.

Watched the first two episodes last night. Just not sure about it, specifically his relationship with his wife.
I did cover the Clippers briefly on and off for a couple of years -- I didn't get into them too deeply.

In their first playoff series with Utah, I met Sterling for the first time at the front desk of the SLC Marriott. I was checking in and he was there schmoozing the desk girl. I saw him and his wife and girlfriend at the Sports Arena a few times because they ate dinner in the media area.

I did get invited to the Malibu White Party once. I was undecided about going. But I wasted a lot of time fretting over what to wear. Then I decided not to go because it would be a very uncomfortable environment for me, even though I had partied in Malibu a lot during high school and had friends who were his neighbors on Broad Beach Road.

When the revelations came out, I was baffled about how he could operate in a black-dominated industry with his racist views.
