Mr Bezos will not owe any taxes on his gains after moving to Miami in Florida from Seattle in the state of Washington last year.

When he announced the move, it prompted speculation over whether it was because of a potential tax bill he would have faced in Washington after the state approved a new tax on large stock sales.

Gains above $250,000 from the sale of stocks or other long term investments, are taxed at 7% in Washington state. Last year, it brought in an extra $900m to state coffers.

If Mr Bezos still lived in Seattle he would owe around $280m on the $4bn worth of stock he has sold.

Was reading some comments on one of the infamous draft proclamations, Steven Ruiz in 2017 on Mahomes. “Calling Mahomes a project is a major understatement. He’s nowhere near ready to play in the NFL. And, honestly, he may never be. Between his inconsistent accuracy due to poor mechanics, his tendency to bail from clean pockets and his lack of field vision, he’s going to leave as many big plays on the field as he creates. This was a risky pick.”

Hey, it's better than Chad Ford on Darko anyway. But some folks were pointing out that Mahomes wasn't ready to play right away so the analysis wasn't that bad.

But...he obviously was, right? You're saying he can throw for 50 touchdowns in his first season as a starter, but he couldn't have thrown for, I don't know, 28 touchdowns and 3,500 yards as a rookie? Of course he would have! And in the one game he started at the end of the year, he threw for 284 yards, came out of the game, then went back in when Denver rallied and marched the Chiefs down the field for a game-winning field goal.

I don't want to be too hard on Ruiz though, as I do have in my past my proclamation in my junior college school newspaper in the fall of 1993 that Derrick Coleman was now the best forward in the NBA.
