Fields is probably as good as Hurts, who is surrounded by all the parts (especially the OL).

Fields is probably done in Chicago. Lot of animosity/hurt feelings around things.

Does Tomlin have more job security than Smith did? I thought Tomlin was on the last year of his contract. I interpreted that as meaning Tomlin has either improve or leave.

Much like the Browns with Mayfield, moving on too soon could be regrettable.

The Steelers haven't fired a head coach since the 1960s. The reports I've seen are that they want to sign Tomlin to an extension, but he hasn't agreed to it yet. If he wants to be there, he will be there.

You are making assumptions regarding what Fields might do with a better team, but based on their production so far in the league, Hurts is much better.

Mayfield showed a lot more production than Fields in his first three seasons.

No one is trading a first-round pick for Fields. But someone will trade for him.

In his third season, he had the worst fourth-quarter passing percentage in the league. He'd be terrible on a team like the Steelers that likes to keep games close.

Yeah but on the bright side, there's almost nowhere to go but up from there!

That's why I don't understand the talk of him being a perfect fit for the Steelers. The things they ask of their quarterbacks are his biggest weaknesses.
