Never thought I’d see lunch trays fly to defend the honor of Drew Barrymore, but I’m here for it.

My first real date was The Wedding Singer. Drew Barrymore was adorable.

I remember one of the papers or websites did a story talking to this guy in the stands at Busch Stadium during game 4. He was a regular caller to WEEI, Bill from Allston or whatever his name was. He was such a miserable motherfucker because he knew he could no longer bitch about the Red Sox all summer, every summer. I bet Butch from the Cape was rolling in his grave that night.

I covered a high school football game in 1999 with high stakes. Attendance 11,000+.

Found out after the game the home school greased all the goalposts with Crisco so nobody could grab hold of them and drag them down. The actual game was a 42-7 blowout by the visitors but their first win in a decade in the series. The pitch was definitely invaded that night.

One of my favorite dumb arguments is "well why do we care that the Pistons walked off the court against the Bulls in 1991 when the Celtics did the same thing in 1988?" There's a big difference between walking off because you're petty (with Thomas hiding behind people) and walking off for safety reasons, which is why the Celtics cleared the bench at the end of game six of the Eastern Conference Finals. The game was played at the Pontiac Silverdome and there was no way security was going to keep the fans from storming the court. Dick Stockton and Tommy Heinsohn even allude to this in describing the final minutes.

Isn't marrying Tom Green a red flag?

I say this a fan of 'Freddy got Fingered. '
