Since a person wouldn't be able to look into the future and know the weather on voting day, should we extend in-person voting to a week? A federal week off?

It is tremendously easy to vote in America.

It is not tremendously easy to get people to vote.

Well, maybe because a LOT of government officials are working on election day.

A little tricky if that's a federal holiday. As I pointed out earlier, you already lose that day's mail being delivered --- which means shit coming in the next day but having to be counted because it has a timely postmark. The fewer votes having to be counted after midnight on election night, the better.

Remember, Alma isn’t a Republican. He just agrees with pretty much everything they think. But if he says he doesn’t like Trump, he thinks that’s at all believable.

We hear similar grumbling from veterans groups when Veterans Day ceremonies are sparsley attended. They say not having it as a Monday holiday would make a difference. Most likely, folks would take the Monday before an Election Day off too.

I'm in favor of all of the above. Voting is a civic duty to be encouraged and fostered.
