Hideki is a bit like Couples, when he’s on no one hits it closer. Those two on 15 & 16, both within 8” were two of the best back to back I can remember down the stretch.

Every winner on the PGA Tour this year has had pre-tournament odds at 100-1 or longer, and that includes three signature events. Tour HQ would probably appreciate the stars waking up on the Florida Swing.

The winners of the last two signature events, Clark and Matsuyama, are both major winners. Clark's the defending US Open champ. Maybe those odds were just bettors overlooking overlays, not an accurate reflection os each man's status in the game.

Yes, and Brian Harman is a major winner too. Just saying that SSG probably didn't hang its $3 billion on those guys. The year is a small sample size so far but the stars aren't delivering on a tour that is rolling over for them.

The Lords of Augusta made damn sure not to mention LIV in their press release, though Niemann's LIV win likely played no part. Then again, if he had sucked in his first two LIV starts, could that have worked against him? We'll never know.

I’m not surprised, but I wonder if Elin would be able to veto.

Is there anything stopping a tournament director from offering Charlie a sponsor’s exemption?

Not at all. Tiger got to Riviera on sponsor's exemption when he was 16.
