He is going to try, but I may have reached my quota for arguments with idiots today.

No shit. I loved Mike Riley and he was a great college coach but I think me and the guys I sat with at Microville Tech games were better at clock management, even after five hours of tailgating and a couple beers inside the stadium. When he ties he'll take about 500 unused TOs with him to heaven.

The "playcalling geniuses" are so deep into studying their playcharts and pondering what they'll call on the seventh play from the current one they forget to watch the damn game. Guys like McVay and Shanahan are obviously good coaches, but this is their most glaring shared weakness.

I’m sure he did. I’m sure there were a lot people that focused on time management back when Landry was coaching.

Unless you've done a deep dive into Landry's use of 2nd half time outs, stop.

In the super genius' defense, there is a shitload that goes on between the end of the last play, and getting the next play in. I heard it described one time. It is insane.

Instead of shitting on McVay, I applaud for recognizing a weakness, and attempting to correct it.

Agreed. There are a lot of football coaches I respect who do not know what they're doing. Vrabel did, and he got fired for shitty roster stuff he can't control.

LOL, stop. Explain to me how nobody ever thought about a fucking time management coach until the 21st century. This is just the NFL continuing to think it's the most important thing on Earth, worthy of the type of over-analysis usually employed in international relations. The Cowboys had 21 assistant coaches on staff this season. They had eight in 1977, when they won the Super Bowl. Landry obviously fucking figured out his timeouts without some six-figured dipshit standing next to him.
