That’s been under way for a quarter century or more. If anything, it may be nearly complete among whites. It remains to be seen how many red to blue converts stay with the Democrats when Trump is finally gone for good, although the GOP seems bent on not giving them anything familiar to come home to.

Why can’t college-educated people or those with clerical/office jobs be working class in your view? That’s the part of your tangent that stuck in my craw and had a whiff of “no true Scotsman” about it.

 

Seems like that stance is directly opposed to their reasoning for banning abortion. Wonder what language pretzel they'll tie themselves into next.

 

I played Monopoly one time with some dudes from Newark. That was the fastest i was ever eliminated. They played by “Jersey rules,” with all sorts of backroom deals.

 

People who want children should get all available help. People who don't want them are shit out of luck.

 

Or the person with a Masters who has to work at Starbucks, or the college-educated couple that can’t afford a home? Just as much working class as a steelworker.
