I know it's outlawed by 'the book, ' but I want to split tens every time I see it come up against a weak dealer hand. I'm not going to bust on the next card and the dealer has a good chance to bust. Get your money in when you can.

As I heard at a table many years ago when a young kid (not me) wanted to do that, "If you've got a 10-inch dick, why would you cut it in half?"

Was that the Palace? Went there a few times on ECHL road trips for $3 craps and the buffet. I'd usually buy $60 in chips, then get a buffet comp after an hour or two and five or so "free" Heinekens... good times.

I don't get it. All the value in blackjack is doubling and splitting. You have 2 tens against a two?

I agree. Gotta win splits, doubles and 20s to get ahead. Take the 20 and move on. Especially against the dealer's ace (2).

If you want to split 10s when it's just you and the dealer, you do you, man. Go nuts. Sometimes it even helps to do something like that and change the rhythm of the shoe.
But if you're doing that with other people at the table, especially if someone downwind is sitting there with a double down hand, you'd better be lucky enough for it to work out for everybody or be prepared to throw hands because that could get ugly pretty quickly.

My very favorite casino, in no small part because it is smoke free. Actually tried doing $3 craps bets a few times before switching back to $5 because I already had the odds bets memorized for that amount and couldn’t make my brain recalculate everything on the fly. But yeah, I’d get a cheap hotel room up by the interstate, eat my way through the seafood places in Ocean Springs, go watch Shuckers baseball when I was tired of craps or just drive around and enjoy the bay view. Pre-Covid it was a great little getaway.

College player prop betting just banned in Ohio.

LIV Golf is bettable in a lot of states but not mine. Did the Saudis not properly grease the Indiana gaming commission?

In Mass, you cannot bet college teams from the state except for post-season tournaments. Also, individual college player bets are prohibited.

I stopped at the AmeriStar in Vicksburg once driving from Atlanta to Dallas. The boats had a decidedly different vibe from the Coast.
