Haley getting beat by 20 points in her home state isn’t ideal for her campaign.

But 40% of SC voters going against the presumptive nominee is certainly a sign of general election weakness for trumpy. And, if the recall the number correctly, 62% who voted for her say they will not vote for trump.

He’s definitely, and rightly, lost a lot of support since Jan. 6.

The trump election lies since 2016 are their “truth.” And they can never lose now. If they do, it’s “RIGGED.”

I’m honestly starting to think his base is OK with losing because they get to be angry and bitter every minute of every day.

Hell, they were angry and bitter when he actually fucking won something once. They seem to prefer it.

Keeps her in through Super Tuesday at least.

Hopefully she’ll get the funding to stay in until he’s over the delegate threshold. She finally found the spine to attack him. That could help Biden as people start to gradually pay more attention.

 

My concern is Haley is staying in to angle for the No Labels gig.

The first reaction is "Yay, fantastic." She will split the GOP vote. But she will end up peeling off GOP voters who were going to break for Biden without a choice.

 

No one is angling for No Labels. It’s political suicide.

 

Maybe it'll be Dean Phillips, who already committed political seppuku and walks among the political dead. But there is a lot of sweet, sweet PAC money dangling for whoever wants to grab the vine.

 

I noticed everyone is hinting to me that Occam is feeling itchy about the face, so I'll concede that Haley is hoping Stinky chokes on a cheeseburger or blows a carotid.

 

There is a real chance --- even if it's one count --- that Trump can truthfully be called a convicted felon before too long. Haley is probably hoping that will somehow be her ticket.
