I was pointing out the timing. One hour can make a big difference. I'm stunned when I hear about how some coaching changes go down, guys on a recruiting trip for school A, walks off the plane as he accepts job from School B. Granted - its a different world from us folks who ask to "take the weekend" to sort out a job offer, but still.

I was looking forward to Junior doing some Olympics stuff in Paris. I'd rather see him doing features on the Bordeaux region and wine than Mary Carillo at this point. Nothing against her, but Olympics broadcasts are really helped when you have someone new to the experience.

The widow of the legendary Dale Earnhardt certainly hasn’t done anything to endear herself to NASCAR fans since her husband’s death in the 2001 Daytona 500.

Dude died 23 years ago and since then the sport has lost at least half of its popularity and people are upset a corporation decides to rebrand its attraction that relies primarily on teenagers for success?

 

I don't think anybody is blaming Carowinds. The park hasn't said why its rebranding.
It's just that Teresa Earnhardt has earned never getting the benefit of the doubt.

 

There has to be some sort of hump on the track on the front straight away. Every care is bottoming out and throwing a trail of sparks like crazy.

 

These events are directly related.

What's NASCAR?

 

Those features were such a thing that I gave the segment a nickname: "Screwing Around! With Mary Carillo" That said, maybe because of the pandemic, they'd cut way back on them from Tokyo and Beijing. In a way I kind of missed their irrelevance. In the midst of three hours of the most important day in people's lives, I didn't mind of 10 minutes of Mary Carillo doing vodka shots on live TV with Bob Costas.

 

I read somewhere that what remains of DEI will lose its hold on the rights/trademarks for the 1 and 8 fonts later this year. Perhaps we see a change on the 1 and 8 Buschfinity cars?

 

This seems suboptimal.
