A 10-year-old actually thought about this, and did it.

And the dad tried to get rid of the evidence.

I can't remember if I posted this somewhere before, but I recently found out that the Tree of Life building in the Squirrel Hill section of Pittsburgh was torn down. That was the synagogue where 11 people were murdered in a mass shooting in 2018. They are replacing it with a new building, complete with a memorial to the 11 victims. They didn't actually demolish all of the building. Some parts will remain as part of the new synagogue, but it is still weird that the place will be gone. I wouldn't say it re-opens the wound, but it certainly picks at the scars.

It would also be weird to go to worship and know that someone was killed two rows in front of where you were sitting.

I am certain that played a role in the decision to rebuild. Here is an article about the project. They also found asbestos in the building, but I'm not sure if that was before or after they decided to tear most of it down.
