You got three of the leagues.

    You got it!

In 1975, the city of Baltimore lost the Claws of the ABA (after three preseason games; one of which was at a high school against the 76ers!)

Baltimore also lost the Banners of World Team Tennis. Jimmy Connors was on the team. Franchise lasted one season.

Baltimore lost the Blades of the WHA, which had been the Michigan Stags, which folded in mid-season; the league took them over and moved them to Baltimore. They lasted the remainder of the ‘74-75 season before going kaput.

And the fourth franchise was the Baltimore Comets of NASL, which moved to San Diego after the 1975 season. They lasted a year in San Diego and moved to Vegas.

And full circle, the Blades/Stags started as the Los Angeles Sharks.

Yes. Singular nicknames seem to big in that league.

Who were the last two members of the US Olympic men's basketball team not chosen from a professional team or Division I university? (Scottie Pippin doesn't count, he was chosen from the Bulls, not Central Arkansas).

Hint: They played on the same Olympic team.

Kenny Davis of Georgetown (Ky.) and Thomas Henderson of San Jacinto JC played on the 1972 team, which was cheated out of the gold in Munich.

Donald Dee of St. Mary's of the Plains and Spencer Haywood of Trinidad State JC played on the 1968 team, which also included a player from Army. It won the gold in Mexico City.
