The Sgt. Slaughter doc on A&E was very good. Most of the stuff is already known, but his former wife and his kids gave a good perspective. Wait until the end, when you see some wrestlers do their imitations of him.

A line when Toni Storm low-blowed what’s her name.

I enjoyed it. I didn't know a lot about the story behind him signing up with Hasbro, or the reasons behind his Iraqi heel turn, so that was new and interesting. It was much better than I thought it would be. Plus, for as long as he's been around, I'm not sure we've ever gotten anything like that on him or had a lot of his life made public like we have with others of that generation. Guys like Hogan, Savage, Hart, have lived in the public eye for so long you feel like you know almost everything about them by now. Sergeant Slaughter, not so much.

Flair at ringside, Steamboat the guest timekeeper, with Magnum TA, Nikita Koloff and Scotty Riggs in the front row. Sean Ross Sapp also spotted DDP and Luger.

Great montage to intro Sting. Not surprisingly, the only footage is from AEW and the various Japanese feds he competed in.

HE'S COMING OUT TO HIS CLASSIC WCW METALLICA THEME!!!

Accompanied by his sons, dressed and made up as Wolfpac Sting and Surfer Sting.

AEW let Cody use footage for his doc. But WWE wouldn’t let AEW use WCW stuff for tonight?

For what it's worth, I may be mistaken, but I don't remember seeing any true AEW footage in the Cody doc. Mainly stuff on the periphery, like the very first press conference and maybe footage from All In (which technically wasn't AEW, unless they inherited the rights from the Elite guys).

    Aaaaand, Darby Allin is dead.

There was so much smoke and mirrors, it would make Copperfield, Houdini and Blaine blush, but that was a freaking blast.

Here's another angle, in slow motion. Somewhere, Jack Perry is flipping CM Punk the bird.

Boo to them cutting off the PPV at midnight sharp while Sting was still speaking. It's a PPV -- not like they have to get to the late local news.

Hopefully, AEW will put up the uninterrupted footage.
