    I'm still in some account recovery circle jerk and locked out. I foolishly started the recover password process before realizing it was a widespread outage.

    I'd say that, but Messenger is useful for communicating with Android folks overseas, since I don't pay for data plans in the UK. My mom wants to stay in touch but she has an Android, so Messenger it is. You only need wi-fi for iPhone to iPhone messages since they're not technically texts.
