Oakland A's headed to Las Vegas

I’m not an HVAC expert or anything, but that design seems, uh, sub-optimal for a place that is 120 degrees.

 

There’s some old-school approaches to that stadium. No bullpens, so the starters are going to have to go 9.

 

Unfunded vaportecture. And to think, Utah just passed $2 billion for MLB/NHL and don't even have any teams!

 

And no lights, so day games only!

It was a purposeful boondoggle after 9/11 and no one denied it, if you read to the end. I commuted through there for several years and it's a grand space. There's a preserved subway entrance there with glass doors from pre-9/11, with the search and rescue markings on it, a reminder that it's also a burial ground.
