So, they are making the hosts be on the air at either 4 or 5 local time, just so it can be in LA?

I imagine somewhere along the line the NFL is getting a nice tax incentive from the powers that be in SoCal to base that show there. At least, that's what my experience reflects.

It's the NFL. Making gobs of money is never enough, so they'll kill a perfectly fine and successful show and screw up the lives of dozens of staffers for another hour of content produced in cheaper facilities.

The show just worked better in NY than the LA version did. I don't understand what the "syndication" deal will be - they'll sell it to regional cable channels? Yeah, they're totally in shape to spend more money. I get that NFL Network's footprint is small, but this is not the way to "grow the brand."

    Had to.

Burleson moved on to better things, of course. Was Adams fired? Leave? I know she was up for the Amazon thing and didn't get it.

Everyone chooses to jump from NFL Network to a streaming show carried by an online sportsbook. [/blue font]

She wanted more than they offered. Clearly. Between this and the Azinger deal with NBC, it must be tough "feeling" like you are a big name, getting a big paycheck, people treating you a certain way - and it all goes away because you wanted a little bump in salary or didn't want to accept a pay cut.

More on GMFB. It really is bizarre to say the least. It is the network's signature show, a show that isn't "replay or preview" dependent, and a show well positioned to discuss free agency and the draft - and it will be dark during the entire period. Anyone ever suggest the League move its headquarters out of NY to save some cash?

One thing to keep in mind when trying to make sense of the NFL Network's treatment of "Good Morning Football":

Absolutely nobody -- NOBODY -- watches "Good Morning Football."

The NFL does not care if the staff chooses not to go to L.A.

"GMFB" pulled a .02 rating the week of the Super Bowl. They were getting 26,000 viewers 18-49 that week, nationwide.

Infomercials can pull better numbers than that.

How's it feel being one-third of the show's viewership?!
