MVSU was founded in the early 50s as Mississippi’s futile attempt to stave off what came down in Brown v Board. So there is a decent chance he may only be the 11th coach in school history. God help them if there is a No. 12 with even fewer wins.

But did you see the photo carousel on his bio page? Multiple shots of a sea of empty seats as he paces the sidelines. That's just as depressing as the bio copy.

The first time I drove to MVSU, the "stadium" suddenly appeared out of nowhere among the farm fields. Gave me flashbacks of Richfield Coliseum.

After two years, George Ivory is 6-57. So he's no. 12. One of the poignant scenes this year was when MVSU finally won a game and Ivory is in the handshake line and a kid from Prairie View A&M hands him the ball while shaking his hand.

What's another situation like that at Louisville, with the hearty hosannas turning into wails and renting of garments almost immediately? And who's on deck?

Hand Pat Kelsey whatever he wants. #Crossthreading He'd have them back in the tournament in two years.

Cal extends coach Mark Madsen for two years through 2029-30. His first Bears team is 13-18.

Kenny Payne scolded the media and fanbase for not giving him enough time. Said it's not his fault.

How does he sleep at night? On a giant pile of money with his wife.
