With rare exception, anyone who frequents this board's politics thread cannot complain about how one paints.

You'll never admit it here, but I know it has to bother you that several elected Democrats are not just antisemitic, but UNAPOLOGETICALLY so. And if we're being honest, you know that in the past 25-plus years, the party line has gone from we want abortion to be safe and rare to we want abortion ON DEMAND. I'm not just throwing shit against the wall to see if it will stick.

Most of my friends are liberals. They know where I stand, for better or worse.

The JLR reference did make me laugh, though. Well-played.

That anyone is anti-Semitic in this world bothers me.

I’m sure there are anti-Semitic Democrats. I know there are anti-Semitic Republicans.

    If:
Some Democrats are anti-Semitic; therefore all Democrats are anti-Semitic.

    Then:
Some Republicans are anti-Semitic; therefore all Republicans are anti-Semitic.

That’s your mouth-breathing thought which passes for “logic.”

    Bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit.

They love the idea that a woman who finds herself facing an ugly choice still has the right to make that choice. And you know that. You're just trying to twist things up to make it look like Democrats think women should be able to use abortion as birth control into the ninth month, and that's all bullshit. Literally nobody thinks that.

Did I mention that it's bullshit?

One distinct problem is in the messaging.
Dems should stop screaming solely for "abortion rights."
The real issue is women's rights ... to make their own decisions, especially in crisis.

And, as has been mentioned before, if men could get pregnant,
we could buy our abortions at the Jiffy Lube and the 7-Eleven, too.

Also, conservatives suck, too. Get those MAGA shitheels the fuck out.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel on Monday eased its regulations on abortion access in what the country’s health minister said was a response to last week’s “sad” U.S. Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade.

The new rules, approved by a parliamentary committee, grant women access to abortion pills through the country’s universal health system and remove a longstanding requirement that women appear physically before a special committee before they are permitted to terminate a pregnancy.

The decision came after the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday stripped away women’s constitutional protections for abortion, a fundamental and deeply personal change for Americans’ lives after nearly a half-century under Roe v. Wade. The decision has triggered protests across the U.S. and set the stage for a wave of litigation.

Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, who heads the small liberal Meretz party, said the U.S. decision had turned back the clock for women’s rights.

“A woman has a complete right over her body,” he said. “The SCOTUS decision to negate a woman’s right to make a choice over her own body is a sad process of women’s repression, setting the leader of the free and liberal world a hundred years back.”

Cue Conservatives claiming that Biden isn't supporting Israel, something they have already been pushing. Never mind that it was Trump and his minions who interfered in funding for Israel. Biden doesn't have to support Netanyahu to support Israel. Conservatives will say otherwise. I would remind them that they claim to support the United States while not supporting President Biden.

Logic is not their strong suit.

I should amend my statement. It isn't all conservatives. There are many rational, intelligent Conservatives, but the ones who twist that story to talk about Biden's lack of support for Israel are not among them. I should have used Trumpist instead. Those folks do struggle with logic, but they are very good at hypocrisy.

ISTANBUL, March 13 (Reuters) - An Israeli tank killed Reuters reporter Issam Abdallah in Lebanon last year by firing two 120 mm rounds at a group of "clearly identifiable journalists" in violation of international law, a U.N. investigation into the Oct. 13 incident has found.
The investigation by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), summarized in a report seen by Reuters, said its personnel did not record any exchange of fire across the border between Israel and Lebanon for more than 40 minutes before the Israeli Merkava tank opened fire.

Schumer Urges New Leadership in Israel, Calling Netanyahu an Obstacle to Peace

“I believe in his heart, his highest priority is the security of Israel,” said Mr. Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in the United States. “However, I also believe Prime Minister Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel.”

He added: “He has been too willing to tolerate the civilian toll in Gaza, which is pushing support for Israel worldwide to historic lows. Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah.”
