    Meatballs on Bears Twitter are calling him Sleepy Poles for not doing this and other signings. Do they not realize how seldom it actually works out for the "winners of the offseason"?

    The Bears' problem is that two of their biggest needs, edge rusher and wide receiver, were among the weaker FA groups. Ridley would have been nice, but for about half what he got. No reason to overspend for veterans just because. They'll fill one of those positions in the first round anyway.
