There are like 5-6 receivers as good or better than Ridley in the draft and more who might well be as good, while the Titans have the number 7 pick. This is a case of money burning a hole in the pocket of a franchise headed in the wrong direction.

Exactly what he was game to game last year. Either "very good" or "not great."

Not surprising, considering they played a 2023 season that way.

The jury’s deliberations are going to be brief if Ran keeps doling out $50M guaranteed to the likes of Calvin Ridley. SMH.

Not true at all. Ridley is a great receiver. Like everything when it comes to free agency, he’s being overpaid.

Was listening to a podcast (made earlier in the day) and the "smart money" had Ridley staying in J-ville or moving to Boston. Tennessee wasn't in the conversation. I realize I could probably make a decision within hours about choosing between those cities if there were millions attached to it, but do you think these players spend any time meeting with the coaching staff or is it all player to player via Twitter? NFL Twitter (the players DMs) must be a delicious read.

Is it still Twitter - just identifying as X now? That Musk guy is a weird dude.

Ridley is not a great receiver. He's a good one, who's now 30, being paid like a great one.

Drastic overpay, but it's not my money.

Not sure where to put this, but does anyone else find the following curious?

Cousins talks choice, feels he can 'retire a Falcon'

This article on the Cousins signing, in which I can't find the word "choose" or "choice" (I didn't read it THAT carefully), is headlined with this on the front page.

Seems to me like someone trying to be clever about his religion / politics. What do you think?

I think you're overthinking. The story is Cousins talking about his choice to sign with Atlanta rather than staying with Minnesota or going elsewhere.

Howell traded to Seattle. Starting to feel bad for Justin Fields.

    Drew Lock to the Giants.

As a Mizzou grad and a NJ native, I assume that I'm one of the few people who think this is wonderful news.

There must be some serious analytics behind late round picks, because the pic swapping just seems trivial to me.
