Thought the same thing. I love it for the Colts, in case Richardson gets hurt again or proves to be ineffective. An upgrade from Minshew, who was OK. But curious move for Flacco on the surface.

Pickett gets to go play for a real team, instead of a shit show coasting on its past glory while its fanbase keeps touching themselves over Super Bowls from the 1970s. He was always going to be East Coast Gardner Minshew and should have never been a starter to begin with.

Two more guys who I think will emerge as decent QBs after 3-4 years in the shadows -- Pickett and Fields.

    Agreed. Nice deal.

Harbaugh will take a lot of it apart in SD. At least for a year.

L.A. (It's ALWAYS gonna be San Diego to me too)

I wonder how safe Herbert is there w/Harbaugh the bull in the china shop. Could see him on the market at this time next year.

    I'm sure Harbaugh loves Herbert.

But they're gonna embrace a certain defense, run the ball, use roster spots on additional TEs, etc.

Nitpick: Until he signed with the Raiders this week, Minshew has not been with a team outside of the Eastern Time Zone.
