I'd put the over/under on Fields TD passes at 5.5.

I think it'd be just as important to put an O/U on Fields TD rushes.

My biggest problem with the trade is that it kills the market for the top pick - I think there are some teams that would have thrown a lot more at the Bears. Maybe they did a "last call" on trade offers - weren't blown away and decided to cut bait. But the draft is still five weeks away? I'm guessing they were more afraid of Williams becoming an All-Pro somewhere else than anything else. Even if they would have helped their own team more by moving the pick.

The Bears were never going to move down from No. 1.

The only way the Bears could justify moving down from No. 1 was/is if they're fine with Maye and Washington offers the moon to move up from 2.

Correct. It worked to Wilson's advantage to get the minimum from the Steelers. He gives his team more cap room without costing himself any money and he gets to screw over the Broncos as much as possible. I imagine that is a win-win for him.

That doesn't matter in regards to whether it is a win now move. Paying $1.5 for a year is not 'win now. '
