My thoughts on McNeese and JMU are similar. It's been a long time since either team has played a good opponent. McNeese played VCU in the opener, beat Michigan in Ann Arbor in a game that doesn't seem impressive at all now, and the best team they played since was Texas A&M-Corpus Christi? Will's a good coach, and he has some athletes, but the jump in competition is going to be massive. Since the Michigan State game, JMU has played exactly one top-100 opponent (Appalachian State) and lost twice to them.

I'm really glad the Dukes won the Sun Belt tournament. I seriously doubt the committee would have put them in at-large.

It would have been a travesty to put them in at-large, with their grand total of three (3) Q1/2 games. They went 22-0 in Q4 alone!

Naturally, regular-season Rick Barnes was his first loss after going 48-for-48.

This showed up in my Yahoo e-mail feed, and I love it.

Stat of the day: There are two men's Division I basketball players with at least 175 rebounds, 175 assists and 50 steals this season. Their names? Braden Smith (Purdue) and Braeden Smith (Colgate).

    That is so deliciously random.

I'm going with Houston to win it all - for whatever reason.
