Not only did they fuck the call, but Samford would also have had a 5-on-4 offensively since Timberlake took himself completely out of the play.

 

The only good that can come from that horrid call is that the whole fraudulent review system in college basketball gets revamped into a coaches' challenge system.

Every pundit calling out what can and can't be reviewed is on-point.

Two challenges per game, and you can challenge anything you want, but that's it. You have to use them wisely, not fuckery on every out of bounds possession call, game clock decision, etc. If you're out of challenges, the call on the court stands.

Only if you reduce the number of timeouts and/or stoppages, because we already have about of those. Maybe the limit the amount of last-touch reviews. We got a zillion of those but no mechanism to review a call like that one.

 

Colorado State had a guy from Hillsdale, too, and it's Hillsdale Hillsdale. In the interest of keeping politics off of this thread, I'll just say that UVA and Kentucky should be extremely embarrassed to lose to guys who were previously playing for a school that didn't take federal funding. Also, how did Hillsdale's team do last year with all this D-1 talent?

The NC State run is fun, but Steve Lappas was every ACC fan last night with his absolute incredulity that Burns is allowed to get away with his booty-ball routine. Amazing that the officials let that slide on basically every possession. (And I never want to hear any NCSU fans complaining about UVA's playing style ever again.)

 

I guess they figured no one is too hung over in SLC for a morning start time

 

We had three games playing after midnight Eastern. Ridiculous was several exits ago.
