Kellogg has still not said anything interesting in over two decades.

I love that they start with Kellogg, who will say nothing with made-up words, and then the great Charles Barkley follows up and calls it the worst-played game he’s ever watched and hammers home only five assists. Then the great Kenny Smith tempers what Chuck says and explains the GCU kids got caught up in the moment and lost direction.

The should just have a box of Frosted Flakes on the table and put it in camera for 30 seconds and it will tell me more than Clark Kellogg.

Have you forgotten Big East basketball of the late 1990s?

Did not appreciate ESPN's lingering on Liz Kitley crying at the end of VT-Baylor. A quick shot was fine. Hanging out there long enough for people to turn it into a meme is another. Tough loss, but without her, the ceiling was beating Baylor and losing to USC in Portland. The last two weeks made it plainly obvious how much of a better player Amoore is when Kitley is on the floor. Strack played admirably, but you don't have to double and triple team her like you do Kitley, meaning a lot more attention was paid to Amoore, who struggled to get going. Still, hell of a two-year run. Hoping Tech is able to fend off Kentucky's advances and keep Brooks, who should get a lifetime contract for what he's built with that program.

My recollection is those were sloggish wrestling matches. Last night was handsy. Hands everywhere. And GCU and Alabama ran.

They’re gonna zoom in on tears. Always. It’s so predictable.
As for Brooks, he should stay as long as he gets a clause that the deal automatically gets two years tacked on if the ACC dies. Some kind of protection.

There aren't three nicer guys in sports than Clark Kellogg ... but yeah, he and his mates have been skating on this gig for a while.

Yeah. The WWL needed to be better than that. Kitley deserved better, the program deserved better and everyone in Blacksburg - and Cosmo and his fellow alums - deserved better.

Georgia Amoore is a stellar guard, but Kitley was pretty close to irreplaceable.

Brooks desperately needs to be taken care of. What he has done with that program has been wondrous. Hope Whit Babcock is willing to extend and offer a nice raise to keep Brooks.

Looks like this year's Sweet 16 tip times are about 40 minutes later than last year. Which means an Eastern time zone game starting at 10:20 p.m. on Friday --- or 30 minutes after Edey shoots the last of his 22 free throws.
