Runaway with Selleck and Gene Simmons as the villain. Mechanical spiders shooting acid. Ramsey!

    I'm with you on Youngblood.

I love sports movies in which the actors aren't credible as athletes. I wouldn't call it a bad movie, but Gary Cooper swinging a bat in Pride of the Yankees is a special kind of kind of painful to watch. Same thing with Anthony Perkins in Fear Strikes Out, except that is a bad movie, the great Karl Malden notwithstanding.

Also, there is a special Robby Benson category for this kind of movie. I LOVE One On One, it's a bad movie AND Robby Benson as a D1 College basketball player belies belief. The movie is made that much better by GD Spradlin playing the same sadistic / corrupt coach I believe he played in about 74 other movies.

Another one that I'm told is a bad movie by my family when I trot it out every 6 months or so to watch it is Let It Ride.

Love the story, love the casting all the way through, and really love the notion that for one day, things could come together all the way through to guarantee you'll end up a big winner.

The climax of that movie, where they take down the bad guy in the junkyard, is stupid and painful to watch. But almost everything else about it is tremendous. Love that movie. Sheen and Estevez are good, but Keith David as the burned out Vietnam vet with a rageful case of PTSD steals every scene he's in.
Professional "That Guy" Dean Cameron as the pizza delivery guy they kidnap is pretty great, too.

I swear, almost every movie mentioned on this thread hits a sweet spot for me and this is another one. Just a fun movie that, like you said, hits that great idea of everything — including the bad beats — going your way for one magnificent day.
Young Jennifer Tilly bouncing around in a low-cut mini-dress doesn't hurt, either.

Maybe the greatest low-key line of all time (to me), when Tilley comes up behind Richard Dreyfuss and covers his eyes, saying, "Guess who?" and he responds "A football salesman?"

My brother, a horse racing junkie, loves this movie. He still quotes the tout working the entrance:

"Had the daily double! Had the daily double!"

"That was three years ago!" (Or whatever the timeframe was.)

"Had the daily double! Had the daily double!"

Club Paradise, despite having Robin Williams, Eugene Levy and Rick Moranis (who are hilarious in it) and the lovely Joanna Cassidy in it, is not a good movie though I watch it often. Peter O'Toole is 10 steps beyond mailing it in he's so bad.

I'll resist my own temptation to get up my own ass about what actually constitutes a bad movie and just offer up this obvious choice.

Could have chosen any clip available on Youtube. All of them krush.
