You only have to say two words to make me laugh.

    Those words are Bubby Brister.

WCC to a cellar-dweller in the ACC? I hope he got handed a big fat check.

He probably will. Fir career grinders like Smith (Columbia, San Francisco, Wazzu) it's almost impossible to turn down a life-changing contract.

Plus Stanford will tolerate mediocre results for quite a long while.

He is the walking example of a solid mid-major coach, horrible high-major coach.

I don’t understand how anybody is going to get Okie State above water in the foreseeable future. That conference is absolutely loaded.

JMU coach (and Timesland legend) Mark Byington to Vandy. Really shitty timing for the Dukes with the AD retiring.

All these coaches going from NCAA teams to new teams in just a day or two is ridiculous. Obviously interviews and everything else have been probably a few weeks in the making. While they were prepping for NCAA games.

The portal timing is surely an element of it, but it is all so dirty. Coaching moves have always been crappy, but this seems worse than ever. At least three of these are the day after their teams lost.

One fix probably would be to delay the portal until at least the Final Four, but that probably will never happen in the current state. Getting harder to like college athletics.

Same thing happens at the end of the football season. See Lincoln Riley.

Was well-liked at Tulane, where he was screwed over by nepo-QB Jon English. In NFL played in three CCG and two SB.
