    The NBA has achieved what it wants from the play-in tournament. It's pretty clear we have our 10 teams in each conference, but with 12 or 13 games to play, we've got some great races to get into the top six on both sides. Dallas, Phoenix and Sacramento are all within 1/2 game of each other in the West. Same goes for Indiana, Philly and Miami in the East. With no play-in, there would be very little drama down the stretch. Chicago is four back of the 8 seed in the East, and the Lakers are three back of the 8 in the West.
