The TMZ article says his guy was arrested with weed and coke after the Feds stopped Diddy's plane at Opa-Locka airport, Miami, on Monday. I'd guess they got the plane out of the country for fear of having it seized.

Or there was something on it that someone didn't want falling into the authorities' hands ... and sending it to a country without an extradition treaty with the USA ...

Still, getting it out of the country gives them a chance to get anything illegal or incriminating out of the plane and get rid of it, assuming that something had not been found when it was searched in Miami.

I suspect that they already have massive evidence against Diddy and his people. When they decided to move on him, there was nothing subtle about it. They just brought down the hammer and raided all his houses at the same time. This wasn't an investigation, looking around and asking questions, although they did that too. They largely knew what they were looking for and where to find it, got a warrant and went in after it.

Never understood his appeal. He always struck me as the Don King of rap.
